Resume Etiquette

A great resume is the first step towards edging past your competitors and bagging your dream job. HR managers shortlist the best resumes out of piles of several applications every day and can hence see a resume that defies the accepted principles of resume etiquette from miles away. Ensure that you do not include any flashy fonts, images and colors in your resume, unless you are applying for a graphic designer’s job and have been licensed to experiment with your resume. Include the corporate buzz words such as ‘team builder’, ‘oral communication skills’, and ‘quick learner’. Include information about your qualifications and achievements relevant to the job, and make an impact with your resume.
